Build Details please? (no replies)
I've been looking for a place that says how apache was built for wamp. I have maanged to build a module/plugin for apache that loads, but I never get my hook called, and now that I've registerd for more startup config stuff, a request to the server hangs.
I don't seem to think apache has a trace option that would debug log what modules were being called. maybe I am in the list to be called, but I haven't declared my function to be the right calling convention.
I compiled and loaded my module under linux also using GCC, and I'm at the same piont, the init gets called, but no request is ever passed to my handler. (Hmm I should try there with the additional registrations)
When you build apache what is the default for functions where the type is not specified? __cdecl or __stdcall ?
I have figured I need to build for release mode visual studio 2010 (2012 almost works, but I figure the runtimes will eventually collide and be an issue)

Hello all
I'm currently developing an application which will potentially be used by about 15 people to view data only across a small single office lan. There also will be 1 or 2 people who will have access to update data so there will only be a very light load on it at any time. That application will of course be wamp with a database containing less than 100000 rows normalised across multiple tables. Searches will be fairly simple and so unlikely to require much power.
Currently I'm developing this on my PC which is fine and dandy but obviously isn't a long term solution. My idea is to install it on the office file server as it does nothing very much other than serve files. :-)
That server runs windows 2008 server with 8GB of memory and a tx200 xeon quad core 2.4Ghz processor with disks which currently store both OS and data. My thought is to add dedicated disk and reserve some of the existing memory. From what I've read i should also run the wamp server processes as services but is there anything else I should consider or am I naively sailing into a distaster. Please advise or point me to somewhere where I can get the information I need to know.

Wamp internal error and application icon/program broken (1 reply)
Ive downloaded wampserver(64 bit & php 5.4) 2.4 - Apache : 2.4.4 MySQL : 5.6.12 PHP : 5.4.12 PHPMyAdmin : 4.0.4 SqlBuddy : 1.3.3 XDebug : 2.2.3
it worked for sunday then stopped when i turned on my computer monday i uninstalled it i deleted the wamp folder i dont know if i restarted it but when i turned it on the application on my desktop was screwed up as in the icon was a piece of paper with a microsoft icon on it aka broken icon file/ application and when i tried on start menu had the same problem.
when i tried to do the services it i get the error called: "Could not execute menu item (internal error) [Exception] Could not perform service action: The service has not been started."
also when i try to go to localhost it takes me to some page with iis 7 welcome screen with a ton of languages surrounding it and then leads to some program by microsoft to do with iis program.
i remember changing some type of windows feature under the updates thing or something and then i went to inetmanager and added a php fast cgi module or something. im not at my computer at the moment but i do have a link my classmate suggested so i tried it i think this is what i did for what im saying in this paragraph specifically: [www.youtube.com]

Wampserver online (icon is green) , phpmyadmin loads but can´t manage to work a php test script (no replies)
First let me explain that port 80 was taken by microsoft - II / 8.0 , this obliged me to reconfigure : wampmanager.tpl and http.conf to port 8080.
As h t t p : / / l o c a l h o s t : 8 0 8 0/ is typed on the browser , it finds normally the Server Configuration Apache Version : 2.4.4 PHP Version : 5.4.12 and PHPMYADMIN loads as well.
I tried to run a very simple php script to test the server but it hasn´t worked.
I saved it to the folder C:\wamp\www , typed on the browser h t t p : / / l o ca l h o s t : 8 0 8 0/www/test_wamp.php resulting in : The requested URL /www/test_wamp.php was not found on this server.
Can someone please sugggest me a possible solution ?

Cannot connect to mySQL (no replies)
I have been using mySQL with WAMP for some time now. The other day I tried to install XAMP. I went back to WAMP but now I cannot connect with my dbForge tool.
I can connect with sqlBuddy running on the WAMP server and I can connect using the console.
The error msg I get in dbForge is target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:3306 and the same message using localhost.
I have already put a port 3306 exception in my XP SP3 firewall.
I don't know what else to try at this point.

Tray Shuts Down Machine (no replies)
Running Wamp 2.2 on xp-sp3 32bit, have MSVC 2008 and 2010 redistributables installed.
Using it for php/mysql development, everything works, no problems.
BUT, if I click on 'stop-all-services' or try to toggle 'php-settings' from the Tray, it shuts down my machine.
My older version of wamp didn't do this, was wondering if anyone else ran into this problem with 2.2?
It acts like it tries to reboot, but then just sits there, I have to complete the shutdown and power it back on again.
Other than that, it does the job, like it always has.
Using it for php/mysql development, everything works, no problems.

How to determine path of mysql.exe from PHP (2 replies)
I have a WordPress plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/sitepush/) which needs to call mysql and mysqldump directly.
In order to make the plugin easier to use for WAMP users, it would be helpful if I could determine the path to mysql/mysqldump programmatically rather than asking users to enter it manually.
Is there a way to do this in PHP?

Getting to sites from browser (no replies)
I have been using WAMP for some time but have recently run into a problem where I am being taken to an old site that no longer is in use. I am using Firefox as my browser.
I have uninstalled my old WAMP and recycled all of the WAMP directories.
I put back the php code in the wamp/www/testcomsum/ directory.
When I use 127.0.0.1/startup.php it is not found; but it is there.
If I use 127.0.0.1/testcomsum/ I am redirected to an old site that I had established elsewhere on the web. I don't know how I got there as I have put nothing the the vhosts file.
I have not modified anything else.
Where should I look next?

mysqli_set_local_infile_handler function in PHP (no replies)
Hello,
I am trying to import a CSV file into a MySQL database.
I am using trying to use the mysqli_set_local_infile_handler function to do so.
When I run it however it is not found. I further have run the get_defined_functions function and did not see it in the list.
I have PHP_MYSQLI checked under the extensions and made sure that I was using that in the php.ini file.
Can you tell me what further I need to do to expose this function?
I am using WampServer v. 2.4 x64 version.

Instructions to setting up Filezila on my Wamp? (no replies)
I currently am hosting 3 websites over the internet using a desktop PC and Wamp Server, I would like to setup a FTP so I can edit files and folders on these three websites from another machine, off the network.
I downloaded Filezila Server on the machine that runs the WAMPSERVER, how do I get the configured to connect to the WAMPSERVER correctly? I searched the forums here and the instructions are very basic and I do not understand them...

phpAdmin cannot log in to mySQL (no replies)
Just installed WAMP 2.1 (needed older version for project support). MySQL sets up initial user 'root'@'localhost' using 'root' (password).
phpAdmin wants to access MySQL as root without password.
Attempted several changes to:
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] = 'root';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = '';
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true;
by adding a password, changing user to a different user and turning on/off "AllowNoPassword". Error remains unchanged:
#1045 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
SQLBuddy works fine.
Also completely uninstalled, deleted all files and reinstalled. problem persists.
Any ideas?

Problem Connecting to Outside Servers (no replies)
Hi, I've had a WAMP setup working fine for years. A few weeks ago, I ran an aggressive spyware scanner that tightened all sorts of security on my computer. Since then I've been having trouble with sites running on my localhost not being able to connect to outside servers. I suspect that it has something to do with connections being refused by Apache or by Windows, but I don't have the slightest idea where to start looking for problems. Can anyone here help me figure this out?
I was getting some errors in my Apache log
[mpm_winnt:warn] [pid 2760:tid 1780] (OS 64)The specified network name is no longer available. : AH00341: winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.
But I added a few things to httpd.conf and those errors in the log disappeared, but my external connection issues haven't been resolved.
