Wamp 32 bit -> 64 bit (no replies)

I have 32 bit Wamp ver 3.13 installed on Windows 10. How do I upgrade to the 64 bit version? Do I just install on top of the 32 bit version or is it more involved? I can't find anything in the forums.

Duplicate registry insertion (2 replies)

Hello!
I am having a recurring problem in a program that uses wampserver. Often, when performing an insertion in MySQL via PHP 5.6, the server loops and inserts hundreds or thousands of equal records, changing only the primary key (autoincrement). Has anyone else faced this problem or know what the cause might be? Thank you for any help.

WAMP server icon stuck on orange, mysql server not starting. (2 replies)

Hey,

After installing wamp, mysql is not starting and wamp logo is stuck on orange.

Here is the mysql log :

Virtual Host problems with my company proxy (8 replies)

Hey,

I created a new virtual host from wamp interface and restarted DNS but it doesn't seems to work.

My windows host file look like this :
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

127.0.0.1 new-loyers-bfv
::1 new-loyers-bfv

And the page is telling me this :

(I posted this on StackExcahnge but got no responses. Hoping someone here can suggest a solution.)

I want to enter localhost/expl/admin/add-edit-category/ and have it process localhost/expl/admin/add-edit-category.php

The following .htaccess works fine on two different production servers, but results in a 404 on localhost (Wampserver 3.1.3, Apache 2.4.33, PHP 7.1.16)

RewriteBase /expl/
RewriteRule ^admin/([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/?$ /expl/admin/$1\.php [QSA,NC,L]
However, if I do something like this, it's fine on Wampserver:

Enter: localhost/expl/dummy-dir/admin/add-edit-category/

RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/admin/([A-Za-z0-9-]+)/?$ /expl/admin/$2\.php?dir=$1 [QSA,NC,L]
It will read the variables just fine and everything works as expected. So why is the first case falling over?

Another related issue (which is resulting in "too many redirect" errors) is localhost already allows entering URIs without file extensions, so e.g.

localhost/expl/admin/add-edit-category in the address bar processes
localhost/expl/admin/add-edit-category.php,

but I don't want it to do so (it's not how it works on the production servers and I need it to be consistent on my local machine). I can't find any settings in Wampserver that cause this, so I haven't been able to edit it.

Problem with Uninstalling Wampserver by SCCM (no replies)

Hello,

I have problem with silent uninstallation wampserver 3.1.4 x64. I deployed this aplication by SCCM, and the problem is with "warning: The wampserver installation folder will be completely deleted: the local sites and databases located in this folder will be destroyed if you have not previosly backed them up" "Yes or No"
i can't skip this message and it generate a new process unins000.exe.

I tryied to uninstall this application by this comment : "C:\wamp64\unins000.exe" "/SP /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSGBOXES"
Sometimes this warning pop up and sometimes we don't see it but the process is still exist.

Do you know how can i fix it?

2 Issues could be 1 problem - no PHPmyadmin access and Localhost8080 (1 reply)

I need help desperately please! I was able to get in to PHPmyadmin and get into my WP site via localhost80. Long story short, unless we need a phonecall, lol, I changed from 80 to 8080 then back to 80 (as for some reason it was giving me error messages about port 80) and now when I want to log into PHPmyadmin, it says ://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin/ and obviously the page can't be reached. I manually change the URL to 80, and when I try to log in with root, password is empty, I get at the top of the login panel

Cannot log in to the MySQL server

and then

mysqli_real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

I'm afraid that all the work I'm doing on the WP site won't be saved in the PHPmyadmin. Can someone please help me?

Separate Multiple Audio Tracks in Canon XF300 MXF for FCP (no replies)

I am editing my wedding footage and have been given a small amount of footage in .mxf files from the xf300 camera and I was wondering how to get them into Final Cut Pro 7 so that I can edit them with the rest of the footage. Log and Transfer doesn’t work like usual .mxf footage as when I try to add the files it says “”xf300_ceremony” contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches supported media.” I tried to download the plug-in for xf300 but that doesn’t seem to make any difference. What can I do to get theses files in?

When you import the MXF footage and says it’s an unrecognizable format. In fact, the MXF files are showing up light/faded like my computer doesn’t even really recognize them.

Hi,
I tried installing the ssh2 extension with PHP 5.6 but it is failing.

The version I downloaded was for php 5.5 on this page: [pecl.php.net]
because there was no php 5.6 version.

If this is the reason why it is not working, then how can I get php 5.5 on wamp or find a ssh2 version that works with php 5.6.35

I'm on WAMP 3.1.3

Cannot add users in phpMyAdmin (no replies)

I have just installed Wampserver version 3.1.7_x86. In phpMyAdmin 4.8.4. User ROOT has 'all priviliges' but a message at the top of the screen says 'You do not have privileges to manipulate with the users!' I did find:

After updated wamp, "Your project" on the local server is not working. Ex.Folder: WWW/Test, Preview: Test, But when I click that. It opens directly. Ex test/, It should be localhost/test. Please fix it.

awesome software, thank you!
I need to revive an old Typo3 site and therefore PHP 5.3.x - got it running on WampServer 2.2d but am wondering if I can add it to my Wampee 3.1.0-beta-3.5.7 so as to be more mobile.

PHP 5.4.45 is running fine on Wampee -
PHP 5.3.28 is shown in the menu, but once selected, stalls and then jumps back to the last working PHP version.

I guess I will need Apache 2.2.x?
How do I get it installed in Wampee?

Hi, this is the first time I will update Wampserver and although I checked the wampserver.aviatechno page I still have lots of doubts. I started building my website and I don't know how to back up my files, hence I am a wee bit concerned about uninstalling my old version of Wampserver (3.1.4). Could anybody explain me how I can back up my files, please. What happens with all the plugins and themes you install in Wordpress?
Would not be better to install the addons individually or it just will take more time to do the same thing?
I've almost forgotten how I installed wordpress, so I will also appreciate if you could remember me the steps to follow or link me a webpage where it is explained I it would be very helpful.

Apache Crashing when using Xdebug (no replies)

13 - It seems there is no problem with Virtual Hosts. The problem is related with xdebug extension

I have verified all my VC are installed ok in my system with check_vcredist.exe tool.

The problem occurs when I active php_xdebug extension in phpForApache.ini (uncommenting the line) then phpmyadmin doesn't work anymore and also all my webapps don't work anymore.

If I deactivate xdebug (uncommenting the line) all my apps and phpMyAdmin are working fine.

My xdebug config in phpForApache.ini is:

When I active xdebug the browser displays a white screen for a few seconds trying to load index.php in my apps or in phpmyadmin but finally displays a browser error message that the connection has been restarted. My browser is Firefox but also checked in Chrome with the same result.

Watching in apache_erro.log it seems that Apache it is restarting exactly 10 times when Firefox is requesting the web page and finally Firefox ends requesting and Apache ends of restarting.

Notice that If I type [localhost] I can view the WampServer Menu ok but If I try to get my webapps or phpmyadmin then it crash, and IT ONLY OCCURS when xdebug extension is active in phpForApache.ini (uncommented).


I tried to update Xdebug by applying the official update in -WampServer 3 All you need to know- post:

I have also tried downloading the appropriate dll extension from:

And using this tool:

But it seems that the extension is not working well with Apache 2.4,37 - WampServer 3.1.7 . Apache still crashes.

I post this issue in the hope that someone else can prove if the same thing happens to him. Maybe there is a bug or incompatibility between Apache 2.4.37 and xdebug 2.7.0-7.3

Retrieve database manually (no replies)

I have a very hard time (= literally impossible) making Wamp work on a computer because I can't install Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 either.

All I want is to manually recover the database of a WordPress website I developed locally and use this on a remote server.

Is this possible?
If yes, how?

Note: there's multiple local websites in the database.
