I have read and followed several tutorials and forum instructions step by step, adjusting them for my configuration ... I have tried uninstalling WAMP, deleting the folders, and reinstalling ... and I have tried copying the full openssl installation files into WAMP ... but nothing works ... could someone please post a definitive guide to installing the keys and certificate authority so that I can get WAMP to support https on localhost, because nothing I have seen is working, and most of the tutorials and instructions I have seen are extremely poorly written by people who clearly either don't know or don't care how to teach and disseminate information.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: for me to answer all 13 questions would require me to go back through every single thing I have done, and that would be a laborious and pointless exercise given how many times I attempted it ... so please just post a current up to date instruction list for wamp server 3.0 or don't comment ... and what I will do is document everything that happens so that IF it still doesn't work, THEN I can answer such questions, and we can make this post most useful for everyone in the future.

Hi,

When I try to connect dreamweaver to the mysql database, it crashes and gives me the error:

"A server timeout has occured. Here are the possible reasons.
1.Please make sure that the web server is up and running.
2. Please verify that the ODBC DSN exists on the test server."

Cannot log in to the MySQL server - 2 (5 replies)

Hi

1. I have new install of Windows 10, 64 bit.
I installed
Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 (BOTH x86 and x64)
Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 (BOTH x86 and x64)
Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2015 Update 3(BOTH x86 and x64)

2-5. Install Wampserver 3.0.6 (apache2.4.23, mysql5.7.14, php5.6.25) now on new system. It is Wampserver 3.0.6 64 bit x64 – Apache 2.4.23 – PHP 5.6.25/7.0.10 – MySQL 5.7.14 – PhpMyAdmin 4.6.4 – Adminer 4.2.5 – PhpSysInfo 3.2.5

6. Wampserver is green

Windows 10 Creator's Update causing WAMP startup error (1 reply)

After installing the Windows 10 Creator's Update, I received the above error when launching WAMP. It does appear to be benign since my WAMP tray icon still turns green, and all my sites seems to work fine.

I Googled the error, and it seems to be triggered when .NET Framework isn't installed. However, it's already installed.

Any way to make this error go away?

Hi people,

I made a simple WordPress portfolio website for a friends building company about 5 months ago using Wamp, where it has sat untouched on the laptop ever since.

Being now ready to promote his new work has asked me to get it setup for him, however... Attempting to run the site again locally in Wamp I get the 'Error connecting to database' message. Looking in myPHPAdmin I don't see the database there. I don't know what I have done, whether I have deleted it thinking I won't need it or if I have uninstalled Wamp and reinstalled for some reason, but I haven't used Wamp much after completing his project. I was tinkering around with another idea but that would / should have not caused me to delete any databases.

I have run recuva and found many wamp files that have been deleted, particularly from this project, but I don't know if the database is there. I see filenames there but they look like they might be names of the tables and not the whole database itself. Also, many of these are not good quality, being partly overwritten, some are Excellent status.

As I have all the files and folders, is there anything I can do to recover... restore.... safe my ass lol, because I don't want to make the whole things again as it took me weeks.

Even if I cannot recover the database, as the site is just a simple portfolio website, with no users, logins, dynamic data etc. is there a way I can create a new database just to get the site to display correctly and then set about recreating the missing parts / data? Although there is a login to the WP admin backend of course!

I really hope someone can help as this feels grim! :(

Cannot log in via phpMyAdmin (no replies)

Running-
Windows 10, 64bit
Wampserver 3.0.6 64 bit; applied update 3.0.8
Apache 2.4.23
PHP 5.6.25
MySQL 5.7.14
Wampserver icon is green (local server - All services running)
Have access to localhost. No errors at the bottom of the page
Have access to phpMyAdmin
Installtion path c:\wamp64

This a clean install of wampserver. Installation done as administrator.
Neither IIS nor Skype is running.

The etc\hosts was edited to uncomment the following 2 lines-
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

Error on trying to login in to phpMyAdmin using 'root' without password is

#2002 - An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. — The server is not responding (or the local server's socket is not correctly configured).

I can run a simple php scripts without problems.

When I try to connect to the database using mysqli_connect I get the following-
Warning: mysqli_connect(): (HY000/2002): An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. in C:\wamp64\www\Unit4\MySiteMysql.php on line 14


I can connect to MySQL using the command line console.

I checked the ports -

I don't know what to check with McAfee. How do I turn it off?

Any assistance to get passed this will be greatly appreciated.

logout from phpmyadmin when create new database (no replies)

i have strange problem to work with phpmyadmin in Wamp64

i login to phpmyadmin with "root" and no password easily , but when i click on any database or try to create new one suddenly it logout and the weird things is i cant login anymore with the root (no pass ) info

and i get "Cannot log in to the MySQL server" message !

i try to disable antivirus , firewalls , using different Browsers and ...

but no success at all

If i Stop All Services and Enable it again i can login again but the problem still come and cant do anything in phpmyadmin

500 Internal Server Error (no replies)

Hello,

I was trying to restore a backup in local mode on wampserver.

I could not get this.

The copy file I downloaded it from my copy of Joomla installed in my hosting.

I recently upgraded wampserver to version 3.0.6 32 bit.

Before the update, this error had never happened.

The error is as follows:

500 Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at wampserver@wampserver.invalid to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Apache / 2.4.23 (Win32) PHP / 5.6.25 Server at localhost Port 80

How can i fix this?

I installed the latest version of WAMP and am using PHP 7.0.10. I imported a .sql dump and it has several million rows. How do I "show all rows" and not be limited to 500 rows at a time? I did research and most of the advice is to modify the config.inc.php, hpwever, there is no such file in the latest version(s) of PHP in WAMP. Thanks for the help!!

in other ways! I've tried install wampserver3 with /saveinf but there's nothing with browers info or editor info!
My be,you can't understand my poor english! I just want to ask,
How to install wampserver silently or unattended mode!

Please help, I downloaded Wampserver from SourceForge but they could not install. The messages say file is corrupt. I downloaded about four from differrent mirrors/links but all could not install for reasons of "file corrupt". From where can I download a corrupt free Wampserver ?

Hello everybody.
I have a server, the os is windows server 2016 (64 bits). The wampserver version is 3.0.4 (64 bits). Apache 2.4.1.8, php 5.6.1.9, mysql 5.7.1.1.
I have some aplications running in it. They are running well but sometimes the websites do not work and the wampserver is green yet (The guess is: if the wampserver is green all website have to work good),
all services are running. I don't know why or what is it happening with the server. Always I have to restar the server and the aplications begin to work again.
The code is protected by ioncube. I had these aplications in wampserver 2.5 and this issue never happened.
The logs of apache does not show any error.
I can't reproduce this error, it happen anytime.
Can someone help me please, I am becoming crazy.

Sent to WAMP page when going to localhost. (1 reply)

When I type localhost in my search bar, instead of seeing my sites I created in my htdocs file in my XAMPP directory, I'm just directed to the WAMPSERVER homepage. I tried including one of my sites in the bar and I keep getting a '404 Not Found' error. I also get this: 'Apache/2.4.23 (Win64) PHP/5.6.25 Server at localhost Port 80'.

Something else that I think may have to do with it is XAMPP; when I try to start Apache or MySQL, I get this:

Changing URLS Breaks WAMP Wordpress Site (no replies)

I'm trying to move my wordpress website to WAMP. When I change the live website URLS from "www.livesite.com" to "localhost/myproject" I get a simplified site that just looks like a series of posts (the theme broke?). I narrowed it down to the wp_options table which, when the URLs are changed phpmyadmin, causes the break. To make the matter more frustrating, I am unable to get to the back end. When I try to go to "localhost/myproject/wp-admin" I get "This site can’t be reached" on Chrome. Any ideas on how to fix this or at least get to the administrative side to Wordpress? I've put in many hours of searching here. Please let me know.

NOTE: I am new to this forum, please let me know if there is other standard information is needed to make this a legit posting. Thank-you.

httpd.exe - Application error when I open Wampserver 64 (4 replies)

I everybody!
I'm Matteo from Italy. I'm a web designer and I'm trying to learn more about editing wordpress themes.

I've got Windows 10 64 bit installed and after the last big update (Creators Update) I get an error where I have not found any information online.
I specify that I also tried to do a fresh installation of Windows after the update because in the past I had other problems.
However, installation is ok but when I launch Wamp, first a flashing CMD command promps appears, and then a pop-up window opens, saying
"https.exe - application error, cannot start the application correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application"

If I click ok, Wamp icon is red then orage and green, everything seems to be OK! localhost too.

I don't know but maybe Windows last update caused this issue.
