wampserver wont work after restart the pc (1 reply)

Hi,

I have installed wampserver on my windows 10.everything was fine and it was working. but once I restarted my pc wampserver is not working any more(orange).it happened to me before also. I had to re-install again .

its working till not to restart the pc.

please advice.

I just download both this and install it to my windows 10 with x64 architecture.
Apache : 2.4.17 MySQL : 5.7.9 PHP : 5.6.16 PHP : 7 64bits
Apache : 2.4.17 MySQL : 5.7.9 PHP : 5.6.15 32 bits

First i install the 64 bits after try all the suggestion, change port, disable windows web(doesn't apply to me), IIS(doesn't apply to me), reinstall the microsoft C++ package .. and I still cannot get apache to work. Even the logs show nothing because didn't success to start apache once.

Now I download the 32 bits version and just install like normal I get the apache started. Can anyone help me troubleshoot what the issue?

wamp and composer and slim framework is installed slim is on project dir installed inside myapp dir.

: is replaced with @ http@//localhost/myapp/index.php/Hello/p
Not Found The requested URL /myapp/index.php/Hello/p was not found on this server.

Apache/2.4.18 (Win64) PHP/5.6.19 Server at localhost Port 80
icon light is green and both the services are running.

now my question is that what step I am mis and any more information is needed please post it here.

WAMP is not sending emails (no replies)

Hi, I can't get cakephp3 to send emails. In cakephp2 I could do this no problem. I am using the latest WAMP, and cakephp3.3 on Windows 7. I tried to follow the directions but it looks like I am getting something basic wrong. Do I also need to configure Wamp as I checked the php.ini file but there is no smtp entry to change

I believe the error is a WAMP setup for smtp because the code for cakephp3 is correct after I checked this out.

I have a new install of latest version of WAMP.

I would like to have the root folder "d:/wamp/www/" to basically allow everything for all folders in it. I can't seem to make this happen....

I can however give folders in it whatever rights I need to like this:

<Directory "d:/wamp/www/folder1/">
Options FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride All
DirectoryIndex default.php
Require all granted
</Directory>

But I don't want to add the above code for every folder I add to the root.

I've tried adding the following, but this still doesn't work:

DocumentRoot "d:/wamp/www"
<Directory "d:/wamp/www/">
AllowOverride All
Require all granted
</Directory>

Thanks for any advice on this.

I have wamp server 2.4 installed on a recently upgraded Windows 10 machine. My question is how do I upgrade it. That is, do I uninstall 2.4 completely and then install the latest version instead of an upgrade process? (I need PHP 5.6 not 5.7.)

Are there any likely issues with the process with regards to existing webs/databases?

I would really appreciate a link to an explanation of the upgrade process as I have been unable to find one referring to WS 2.4.

PHP 5.4.12
MySQL 5.6.12
Apache 2.4.4

I have got the following error message when I attempted to send an email using the PHP mail function:

Warning: mail(): Failed to connect to mailserver at &quot;localhost&quot; port 25, verify your &quot;SMTP&quot; and &quot;smtp_port&quot; setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\wamp\www\phppower\proj5\fileincludes\myprocessform.php on line 51
Can someone please help with how I should go about altering the relevant settings in my PHP ini to be able to send emails using the PHP mail function.

I've just installed wamp and it gives me this error when I go to localhost.


This is the problematic code:

preg_match('|phpVersion = (.*)\n|',$wampConfFileContents,$result);

$phpVersion = str_replace('"','',$result[1]);


I've dumped the $result array and it's empty, so there's an error trying to access $result[1]. How can I fix this? I'm not sure if removing this stuff will break another stuff.

Hi I have installed latest wamp server downloaded from sourceforge.net but its not working, every time I start it throws an error rather than running apache.
Error Says : "the procedure entry point isalpha could not be located in dynamic link library c:\wamp64\bin\apache\apache2.4.23\bin\pcre.dll"

Hello, I am trying to reinstall WAMP on Windows 10.

After the new installation WAMP icon stays Orange.

Here is what I did:

I unistalled the old Wamp.

I change the wamp directory's name to: wampOld

I checked my services there are no mysql or apache on them

I installed all the VC packages needed:

I checked IIS on windows, looks ok to me:
Web Management Tools and everything under it is unticked.

I installed WAMP (wampserver3.0.4_x64_apache2.4.18_mysql5.7.11_php5.6.19-7.0.4)

I tested port 80:

Hello guys,

I was searching the forum, but couldn't find any useful info regarding my problem.


I had a site running on wamp on my PC a few months ago. I put the project in stand-by and then I upgraded from Windows 7 to 8.1.

I formatted my C partition, but I kept the whole wamp folder in another partition (E).

Now, I would like to know if I can copy the folder to a new installation of wamp and recover the site as I left it before changing OS.

I tried to copy it to a frined's PC with wamp already installed, but we cannot make it works. We have an error rleated to the connection with de DB.

If you could help us, we woudl really appreciate it.

VirtualHosts not working in Microsoft Edge (2 replies)

Hi WampServer,

Thanks for the excellent software which I've been using for many years now.

In recent updates, a red warning is shown on the localhost page to encourage users to set up virtual hosts instead of using projects.

I followed the instructions as in the sticky "WampServer 3 All you need to know". All worked fine in Opera, Firefox, IE (11), Chrome and Safari, but Microsoft Edge tells me it can't find the page when I visit a virtual host.

I uninstalled and reinstalled WampServer (as there is no "undo" to setting up a virtual host) and started again, this time using the manual instructions as in the Sticky "The NEED for VIRTUAL HOSTS". Again all worked well except in Microsoft Edge (but at least this time I could undo the changes!).

Could you please let me know if this is a known issue and, if so, what I can do to resolve it? My software details are

Windows 10 version 1607, 64 bit
WampServer 3.0.6
Apache 2.4.23
PHP 5.6.25
MySQL 5.7.14
WampServer icon is green
